The following images were sent by Vic who runs the Schooner Bay Bed & Breakfast in Lunenburg with his wife Carol who is an artist.
Vic was born in Chester, living just outside London, Vic emigrated in 1967 and joined the Metro Toronto Police Department. He retired in 1995 and moved to Nova Scotia in 2002.
Carol born and raised in Shirebrook and emigrated in 1973. She has always had a knack for sewing and crafts and eventually started painting about twenty years ago. She then tried her hand at wall murals and then began to do acrylic painting on canvas. She has now taken up the art of watercolours.
They moved from Ontario to Lunenburg in 2002 and opened up The Schooner Bay, where they find it very rewarding having guests from all over the world. This home built in 1905 is decorated with period furniture. The Bluenose Suite offers a queen bed and ensuite bath. The Academy Suite is a two room suite with private bath and two heat lamps. A walking trail located near the house takes guests to the Harbour with shopping, museums and restaurants.
We are very grateful to Vic for supplying all the photographs shown on this section of the website.
